Please bring a couple of layers and a windbreaker to stay warm, as well as a hat and sunscreen, according to the weather conditions. Even when it is hot onshore, please bring a layer or two as the ocean in Maine acts like a natural air conditioner.

When Should I Arrive?

Filled

To ensure a timely departure, please arrive for check-in 30 minutes before your scheduled departure time. All members of your party must be present at check-in to sign a waiver and receive a boarding pass. Completing the electronic waiver in advance for every member of your party (including infants and children) can expedite the check-in process. Additionally, please consider the parking situation when planning your arrival time. For more information, please refer to the parking information provided.

Are There Restrooms Onboard?

Filled

Indeed, both of our vessels are fitted with a marine head (which is the nautical term for a bathroom). Please note that you will need to navigate a ladder to access them, as they are located below the deck.

When Does Boarding Begin?

Filled

A crew member will open the gate for boarding 15 minutes before departure and lead you to Eastwind. There is a prominent Schooner Eastwind Boarding sign in the Fisherman’s Wharf Inn parking lot, to the right of and behind the Eastwind ticket booth. Eastwind is on the other side of the inn from the parking lot, so you will not see Eastwind at the dock until the crew brings you down. However, if you want to see Eastwind beforehand, you can go to the end of the public dock connected to the Whale Park, or across the footbridge.

Are Cell Phones Allowed?

Filled

Please mute or turn off cell phones before we leave the dock. We understand that many people use their cell phones for taking pictures, which is encouraged. We want to create a peaceful and serene escape out on the water for you. The captain and crew are happy to answer questions both during the trip and when the trip is over.

Are Tips Accepted By The Captain or Crew?

Filled

As our crew is part of the service industry, we greatly appreciate tips. As you disembark from the boat, one of our crew members will have a tip bag available. Alternatively, if you pay for drinks on the boat with a credit card, you can also tip through the Square system. A tip of 15-20% is considered appropriate.

Are there any COVID-related Restrictions?

Filled

Reservations, boarding, and sailing are all done entirely outside in the open air. We try to arrange seating so you sit with people from your own group. If you are unhappy with the arrangement presented, you are welcome to decline to go out on that sail and receive a full refund. You are welcome to wear a mask aboard, but it is not required.

How Can I Leave Any Feedback?
